Channel Manager - South Dublin based - FMCG
Our Client is an International Company based in Sandyford. They are looking for an outstanding Channel Manager with a strong FMCG background in Trade Planning, Trade Promotions or Brand Management .
The purpose of these activities is to increase the volume and market share with particular emphasis on Global Drive Brands growth, ensure efficient distribution, follow-up of coverage, and effective placement of merchandising material, and building a Retail Dialogue relationship with the respective retailers.
In addition the Channel Manager:
- Monitors performance activities against agreed cycle targets by evaluating cycle activities, via dashboards, ad-hoc reports, rolling numbers….
- Briefs Brand management, procurement on specific requirements for material for Field Force
- Reviews cycle activities, based on post activity data to allow for suitable corrective actions.
- Actively uses the trade marketing information systems to setup or challenge business processes.
- Communicates and discusses results with all relevant parties via presentations in different meetings (CPM, Regional Meetings, Sales Conference…).
- Develops reports for data integrity checks of SAP / V3 and follow-up of performance of Field Force.
- Gathers feedback from Field Force representatives through RSM’s and Team Leaders with respect to Field Sales figures and provides direction on how to achieve improved results.
- Effectively networks internally across functions such as: Field Sales, Key Account, Vending, Brand Marketing
- Effectively and actively communicates with external contacts
- Assists in the development of creative field sales activities which contribute to an increase in the volume and market share within Retail universe.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
· Approximately two years in a sales or trade marketing position in a tobacco or FMCG company including a track record of success.
· Effective personal leadership capabilities including excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
· Good commercial awareness and business understanding including knowledge of the FMCG market
· Effective computer skills including excel, word and PowerPoint
· Effective team player and worker
· Educated to degree level
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Information Management tools would be an advantage
